Do I need a U.S. company hiring me?
No. In the EB-2 NIW you are the petitioner, which removes both the employer dependency and the labor certification.
Do I need to invest a large amount?
No. Unlike EB-5 and E-2, the NIW requires no invested capital. What matters is your professional record.
Will I wait many years?
The NIW is usually faster than PERM based categories, and some cases are approved in weeks. Timing depends on category and country of birth.
Can I do this from abroad?
